About Me

I am originally from Fort Saskatchewan which is a small town outside of Edmonton, Alberta. After formative years tree planting in BC I returned to Alberta and completed a B.Sc. in Human Nutrition. For the past 14 years I have worked in the Alberta health system in various management/administrative roles related to the use of technology in healthcare. I am presently employed by the Department of Medicine within the Faculty of Medicine & Dentistry at the University of Alberta. This department is the largest single department at the university (bigger than some faculties). I spend as much of my spare time as I can enjoying the outdoors with my family and training to compete in local cycling events (road & cyclocross) as well as a bit of trail running.
